Day 2

July 28, 2018 - Saturday: Belize City, Belmopan, and San Ignacio

Figure 1: We left our hotel and drove around the bustling streets of Belize City, as our tour guides pointed out places of importance.

Figure 2: On our way to Belmopan, we stopped at the Belize Zoo which lived up to its name as the "Best Little Zoo," because the animals were all rescues who were being rehabilitated and will be released back into the wild, and the enclosures looked like they were built right into the natural environment.

Figure 3: These are government buildings in the capital of Belize, Belmopan. After touring this city, Shen-Li gave a lecture on the local people and culture of Belize.

Figure 4: Our last stop was our hotel, duPlooy's Jungle Lodge in San Ignacio, where there was no A/C and jaguars roamed the surrounding areas
